Analog Submission Press
Founded in 2017, Analog Submission Press is a guerrilla publisher inspired by punk rock ethics and the lo-fi sensibilities of DIY counter-culture. Not punk in the Mohawk sense, but in the spirit of forging your own path, questioning norms, and creating art with conscious intent. Based in Yorkshire, England, the press specialises in transgressive writing, championing voices from the contemporary literary underground.
Drawing key inspiration from the post-World War II small press movement—spanning mimeographs to photocopiers—Analog Submission Press continues a rich creative lineage in a modern, experimental context.
Philosophy
Analog Submission Press embraces brevity, imperfection, and the potential of literature to challenge, provoke, and inspire. The press values the tactile, hand-crafted nature of its work over the sterile uniformity of mass production.
The press’s mission extends beyond publishing: to amplify marginalised voices, question the status quo, and produce works that resonate deeply with a discerning audience. It’s about creating space for stories that might otherwise go unheard, and doing so with authenticity and care.
Process
Analog Submission Press values process as much as product. Works are selected for their boldness, originality, and alignment with the press’s ethos. Eco-conscious practices are integral: pamphlets are printed on 100% recycled or FSC-certified paper, with each copy hand-trimmed, folded, stamped, and individually numbered. Limited print runs—typically between 25 and 200 copies—ensure every publication is an intimate, collectable artefact.
This attention to detail transforms each title into a meaningful, tangible expression of storytelling, bridging the creative with the personal.
Impact
Since its founding, Analog Submission Press has published over 160 titles, contributing to the vibrant small press community while supporting a diverse range of writers. Highlights include:
- Introducing emerging voices to a wider audience.
- Supporting established authors in exploring experimental forms.
- Cultivating a network of small press creators and readers.
- Donating 10% of profits to charities supporting marginalised communities, embodying its commitment to social impact.
Analog Submission Press demonstrates that even small, deliberate acts of creativity can create ripples of change, inspiring audiences far beyond their immediate reach.

A Space for Experimentation
Analog Submission Press serves not only as a publisher but as a creative laboratory. In the near future, excerpts from Marc Brüseke’s forthcoming memoir volumes will be released as limited-edition pamphlets, offering readers an early glimpse into works still in progress.
This experimental approach reflects the press’s broader mission: to push boundaries, innovate, and invite readers into a space where creativity thrives.
